Meet the Florist
Laura Williams (City and Guilds Level 2, Milton Keynes College) joined Orchard Florist in October 2013 having previously working for Heathers Flowers in Castle Cary. Before embarking on life as a florist, she toured the country with musicals and theatre productions. Following the birth of her daughter in 2008 she decided to follow in her florist Grandfather’s footsteps, and her mum had often spoken of her fond memories of visiting his flower shop in Street. Laura recently entered the prestigious RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year and achieved 16th place overall with a breath-taking floral creation of elephants made mostly from Furore Crysanthemums, Carnations, Hypericum and Orchids; an incredible result from her first competition!!
